Open to roles in consulting, AI and finance
Hi, I'm Vidwaan
I'm a BCom student at UVic Gustavson, graduating in 2027.
I build AI agents and automation for finance work.
About
Building where AI meets finance
My main interest is finance, and within it I'm most interested in developing and building.
I'm a BCom student at UVic Gustavson, graduating in 2027. I'm from Bangalore, India, and moved to Victoria in 2023 to study. Outside finance I shoot landscape photography, play table tennis, and follow F1.
The largest thing I've built so far is a pipeline of ten agents that research a company, argue both sides and make a BUY, HOLD or SELL call. The white paper compares it with research I wrote myself.
Finance is the subject I know best, which is why the tools point at it. I've written equity research on Air Canada for the CFA Institute Research Challenge, built a €300M capital deployment model and a 10,000-path Monte Carlo pension simulation, and spent two summers consulting at SAMH and Xenex.

AI agents
Multi-agent pipelines and open-source AI skills that do a finance job from evidence to a rated call.
-
Valuation
DCFs and relative valuation, capital deployment models, Monte Carlo simulation.
-
Consulting
Two summers of process mapping, cohort analysis and dashboards, where the answer has to be quantified. I also wrote I to E, a five-stage operating model framework.
-
Case competitions
JDC West twice, Copenhagen Business School twice, McGill's portfolio challenge and the Canadian Marketing League.

AI agents
Multi-agent equity research
Ten agents in eight stages: four analysts, a valuation agent, a bull, a bear, a judge, a risk check and a writer. Each run ends in a BUY, HOLD or SELL call that gets scored against the market a year later.

I to E: Ideation to execution
A five-stage method for taking an organization's operating model from diagnosis to a working design. I built it by putting four published frameworks, from McKinsey, Bain, Accenture and KPMG, in a fixed order, then read Unilever's 2024 reorganization against the stages as a worked example. I haven't used it on a live engagement.

AI skills
Twelve AI skills
Open-source skills that give an AI model a job, whichever model you use. Four form an investment committee: a buy-side analyst, a chief risk officer who tries to break the thesis, a macro analyst and a portfolio manager who sizes the position. Eight more handle lecture notes, timetables, vault upkeep, GitHub docs, checking variance commentary, reviewing my own AI sessions and keeping AI writing from sounding like AI.

Pension modelling
McGill International Portfolio Challenge
I built a two-pot pension fund model from scratch under a set of regulatory constraints, then ran a Monte Carlo simulation of more than 10,000 paths to see how the fund behaved over a 30-year horizon. The output covered drawdown risk, the probability of underfunding, and how the plan held up in tail scenarios.

2024 and 2025
Copenhagen Business School
Two rounds with CBS. In 2024 I worked on a market entry strategy for a media company and quantified the revenue and margin impact. In 2025 I built the financial model behind a €300M capital deployment plan, covering NPV, payback and the downside cases.

Canadian Marketing League × Points for School
The pre-season case for Points for School, a program that lets students pay tuition with credit card loyalty points. I built the campus go-to-market pitch and placed 2nd among campus representatives from more than 20 Canadian universities. It led to an independent consulting engagement with the company from December 2024 to May 2025, pitching a Big Five bank loyalty partnership aimed at the 500,000+ international students studying in Canada.

AI skills
AI skills I've built
Twelve open-source skills, each a prompt an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. They follow the open Agent Skills format, so they work with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or a local model. The four finance skills share one repo and the other eight have a repo each. Eleven are under the Apache-2.0 licence, which asks anyone who uses them to credit me, and I hate AI writing is under the MIT licence.
The investment committee set
Four finance roles run in order: the analyst writes a thesis, the risk officer tries to break it, and the portfolio manager decides whether it gets capital. The macro analyst sets the context.
-
Builds the case
Buy-side equity analyst
Fundamental research on one public company: business model, moat, financial quality, valuation, risks and catalysts. It ends in a probability-weighted view, a confidence score out of ten and a position suitability call.
-
Attacks the case
Chief risk officer
Starts from the assumption that the thesis is wrong and works to prove it: lists how the assumptions fail, models the worst realistic outcomes, then gives a drawdown estimate and a risk rating.
-
Sets the regime
Macro analyst
Sorts the economy into one of six regimes from rates, inflation, growth, liquidity, credit and policy, then works forward to sector and factor positioning. It does not pick stocks.
-
Sizes the position
Portfolio manager
Takes the analyst's expected return, the risk officer's downside and the macro regime, checks correlation with what is already held, and turns them into a position size.
Study, vault and GitHub tools
-
Study
Lecture notes builder
Merges a lecture transcript and the slides into one exam-ready note, filed in the right Obsidian course folder. Skipped slides are marked and anything the recording garbled is flagged.
-
Study
Timetable to ICS
Converts a class or exam timetable into an .ics calendar file. A bundled Python script generates the calendar, re-reads it and checks every event against the source before handing it over.
-
Obsidian
Vault health check
Audits an Obsidian vault with a read-only script for orphan notes, broken links, duplicate names, unused attachments and stale index notes. It applies the unambiguous fixes and asks before anything destructive.
-
Obsidian
PDF to Profile note
Turns a personality report, assessment or study guide PDF into a short note with every claim cited to a page, and flags conflicts with what the Profile already says.
-
GitHub
Project README publisher
Turns a project's Obsidian notes into tab-style GitHub documentation and publishes it on a branch through a pull request. It never pushes to main.
Checking and review tools
-
Finance
Reconciliation Assistant
A variance commentary checker. An AI drafts month-end budget-vs-actual commentary from the figures and the budget owners' notes, and a script checks every number, direction word and missing driver against the source before a reviewer signs off.
-
Workflow
Self improver loop
Reads your recent AI coding sessions, reports what keeps going wrong and what you keep redoing by hand, and hands you the exact edits. The next review checks whether the last fixes worked.
-
Writing
I hate AI writing
The rules that keep generated prose from reading like a language model wrote it: banned vocabulary, plain swaps, sentence and formatting rules, and a final pass to run before delivering text. Built from Wikipedia's field guide to the signs of AI writing.

Where I've worked
Consulting internships, a live-in leadership role and earlier research and content work. Newest first. Each one opens for the detail.
Xenex Consulting Inc.May – July 2026 · Victoria, BC Summer Intern Built a reporting dashboard with separate internal, client and coach views for a healthcare consulting practice.
A healthcare consulting practice in BC. I built a multi-audience reporting dashboard for coaching-assignment data, with separate internal, client and coach views plus an equity view breaking placements down by gender. On the operations side I set up Google Workspace for the company domain end to end, wrote a Workspace versus Microsoft 365 comparison, and evaluated outreach and CRM tooling.
I also researched funding options for international co-op students, who are shut out of the federal Student Work Placement Program, and drafted a gap analysis and early specs for a bridge fund.

SAMH Consulting LLCMay – August 2025 Business Advisory Intern Mapped the order-to-delivery process and quantified the bottlenecks, which drove a cost reduction of about 8.5%.
I mapped the end-to-end order-to-delivery process and quantified where it was losing time and money; the changes that came out of it cut costs by about 8.5%. I also segmented customer revenue cohorts to find which behaviour patterns were worth the most, and built automations for the repetitive parts of the workflow. I sat in on founder-led calls and presented what the data showed.

Founder2024 · Bangalore, India Freeze drying business Set up an operation to make and sell healthy, shelf-stable food.
Started after my own problem: as an international student I struggled to find food that was both healthy and shelf-stable. Freeze-drying keeps most of the nutrition in a food while making it light and long-lasting, so I set up an operation to make and sell it.
